CAAMP (College Admissions Arab Mentorship Program) is an annual program sponsored by the MIT Arab Students Organization that sends current MIT students to the Middle East and North Africa to give presentations to high school and undergraduate students about opportunities for study at MIT and in the United States in general.

We will discuss important application information like standardized tests required for admission, financial aid availability, how to write the personal statement and other essays, and what student life is like at some of the top American universities. Currently, the Middle East/North Africa international student population at many of the top schools in the U.S. is very low, and one of the reasons is that students are unaware of the opportunities available. Our goal is to change that!

We will be setting up events all throughout the week of January 17th through the 21st at various high schools and universities in Egypt. We can only succeed if you all help spread the word that we are coming, so please tell all your friends!! It's never too early to start thinking about applying, so we encourage anyone who is interested in undergraduate or graduate studies to attend.

If you want us to present at your school, please contact me (Hussein Abdelhalim - hussein9@mit.edu) and we can arrange a time during the week to come to your school! I will post specific events that are open to the public on this page, so that anyone interested can attend at least one session.

Also, feel free to check out the following websites that contain more information about the program:
