SPARK! Entrepreneurship Summer Camp


Entrepreneurship Summer
CampFor College Students
June 11–20, 2009El Gouna, Egypt
SPARK!, designed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), aims to develop the entrepreneurial spirit among Egyptian youth and equip them with the tools and skills they need to start new enterprises or projects that tackle some of the social challenges the country is facing. The camp’s eight day program includes:
  • Talks and lectures from some of Egypt’s most respected entrepreneurs
  • Workshops led by consultants from McKinsey & Company; graduate students from MIT, Stanford & Harvard Business School; guests from leading Venture Capital firms;
  • An opportunity to engage in a real life experience of starting a company and learning how to navigate the challenges associated with this, in addition to developing knowledge of the startup spectrum, from building a team and developing the concept to raising capital, growing the venture, exit strategies;
  • Development of life skills, leadership skills, communication skills, as well as a rich network of young talented students and some of Egypt’s most successful figures;
  • Get rewarded for the hard work by enjoying the beach, sports, social activities in El Gouna after each day’s agenda

If you are a student who have demonstrated a pursuit of self development and entrepreneurial character, we encourage you to apply to SPARK!. You can download the application for the Entrepreneurship Summer Camp at: http://mit.edu/egypt/spark.html Corporate sponsors will cover the majority of the cost, but each participants will pay a $500 fee to reserve his/her space and demonstrate seriousness. If financial aid is needed, please indicate so on the application form.
